I have always wondered what to do with my scrap yarn balls. This plagues many crocheters & I think I found the cure for this.
As many of you know I work in an assisted living community & we always do a community project. We are helping the Cleveland foodbank & coats for kids.
I have made at least 20 hats & 15 scarves all of various sizes for children and adults. I’m also planning on making a few more for home instead to give to their seniors.
These are just a few of the hats and scarves I’ve made.
As crocheters we have been given a great gift that we can share with others and create handmade treasures for others. I hope that this holiday season and everyone after that you share this gift with others. Please pay it forward.
I hope everyone has a blessed holiday season and happy hooking.
I’m just poping in to wish everyone a safe & fun Halloween, & a joyous Dia De los muertos.
This is my costume for work today. I’m thinking of making a grey one to look like “Momma” from all in the family.
What is your costume or what have you made for others?
Have a Spooktacular day.
I have been hooking away lately. I just finshed 10 orders for the cabbage patch hats & shipped them off today. I also finshed & listed 4 new items in my shop, two of which are for pets, 2 combo items & 1 of those are for cancer support.
Cancer support earwarmers. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society.
Pup infinity scarf.
Country earwarmer & boot cuffs.
These are what I have been up to lately for my shop. At home I have been busy chasing kiddos around and I just received my Reiki 1 practitioner certification. I plan on becoming a Reiki Master.
What has everyone been up to lately?
Good evening everyone. I hope you are doing great.
I’m sorry that I haven’t been on here in a bit. This has been a very busy summer break for the kids and myself. We have enjoyed this summer way too much. We have hiked, went swimming every day, grilled, bonfires, zoo trips and like always being creative.
Newest items in my shop sizes infant – adult.
Newest blanket in the works.
Tomorrow is going to be a sad day. All 4 of my kiddos are going back to school. My daughter is a sophomore, my boys are 8th, 3rd, & 2nd graders. I can’t believe how fast they’ve grown.
Hope everyone had a great day & happy hooking.
Good morning everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
I seriously don’t think I am ever going to get any crocheting done while the NBA finals are going on. I attempted to last night while my CAVS won in overtime. It took me at least 30min to do a row lol. Maybe I should crochet during commercials or on the days when the playoffs are not on. I don’t know but I’m going to try and finish this project soon so I can watch my CAVS play.
This is my giant Granny-ghan.
Unfortunately my Granny-ghan wont be put on Etsy. I’m making this for one of my Residents at work. I work at an assisted living community. I love my Residents and my job. I am a very giving person & was taught this at a young age. When I found out we have a few residents that their families don’t visit or really care about their family member thats here I decided to make them crocheted blankets & such to really make them feel at home. And most importantly Loved. I know I’m just one person but I’m going to make my Residents happy and spoiled lol.
Well off to finish what I can on my Granny-ghan.
Have a wonderful day & happy hooking.
Hope everyone is having a great day. I am since I got all my house work done & I’m ready to crochet.
What is everyone working on this week? Here is what I’m working on
I love the African flower motif & I’m going to making these into a Afghan. I am hoping to have these done by August.
So far this had been a nice spring for us. I’ve been crocheting outside after work & when kids are in bed. I even got the deck cleaned. I hope summer will be this nice. I will get tons of projects done then.
Have a great day & Happy Hooking,
Since most of the east is perfectly frozen I thought today would be a great day to share some crochet funnies & W.I.P.
This is how my day starts every morning before work.
This is my W.I.P. I’m in love with this granny so far. It’s from a Mystery CAL. You can find info at crochet crowd & yarnspiration. I can’t wait to show it off when it’s done.
What crochet item or W.I.P. are you most proud of? Please share I love seeing everyone’s gorgeous works.
Hope everyone has a great day & happy hooking.
Good morning everyone. Hope you are staying warm & safe. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted and I’m really sorry. I’ve been crocheting like a mad Momma lately along with keeping the snow off the deck for the kids & dogs to play.
So what’s on the hooks you maybe wondering. Well……… it’s a little Valentine’s day treat. I am making some heart garland for my kids for their desks at school and one for my Nanna to decorate her room with. I found the pattern on redheart.com but changed it a smidge to make it into garland. Now to finish them & have them ready by Monday lol.
The redheart pattern I’m using.
The hearts before I’ve joined them together.
The finished hearts. 2 sizes from the pattern the large is not stuffed along with the red one. I’ve made some stuffed & unstuff.
I will post more pics of the finished garland when I have them done. I can’t wait to share.
What’s on your hooks this week?
Happy Hooking all
So this year has started to become a bit busy. I’ve been crocheting more & more but also trying to find a better job than what I currently have. I really need to make my business a full time job but its not really there yet. I’m tired of working for someone who doesn’t care about their employees & just cares about the money.
In other news I’ve been making more slippers for baby & kids. I’m thinking of making a Mom & Me slipper set. So far so good on that. I have tons of WIPS but nothing really close to being finished.
We had a great Christmas & New Years. The kiddos spoiled me bad lol. I got to relax a bit when they were home. We played tons of games & played with all the new toys we got. How was your holidays?
Well time to get back to those slippers.
Happy Hooking all,
Yes it’s that’s time of year when we all decorate for our holiday season. Getting ready to spend time with our family and friends. Can’t forget about the last minute shopping and wrapping of gifts.
I’m not a fan of slowing down when there is so much holiday cheer to spread but that’s one thing I have to do now that I caught the flu bug. I’m completely miserable but have my crochet to keep me company. I got the kids their flu shots in October and had my appointment set for tomorrow to get my shot but I was knocked down by the bug yesterday. Looks like a week of rest & crochet in the works for me. Now what to work on? Any ideas?
Hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy week.
