Tis the season

I have always wondered what to do with my scrap yarn balls. This plagues many crocheters & I think I found the cure for this.
As many of you know I work in an assisted living community & we always do a community project. We are helping the Cleveland foodbank & coats for kids.
I have made at least 20 hats & 15 scarves all of various sizes for children and adults. I’m also planning on making a few more for home instead to give to their seniors.

These are just a few of the hats and scarves I’ve made.

As crocheters we have been given a great gift that we can share with others and create handmade treasures for others. I hope that this holiday season and everyone after that you share this gift with others. Please pay it forward.

I hope everyone has a blessed holiday season and happy hooking.

Busy busy summer

Good evening everyone. I hope you are doing great.
I’m sorry that I haven’t been on here in a bit. This has been a very busy summer break for the kids and myself. We have enjoyed this summer way too much. We have hiked, went swimming every day, grilled, bonfires, zoo trips and like always being creative.

Tomorrow is going to be a sad day. All 4 of my kiddos are going back to school. My daughter is a sophomore, my boys are 8th, 3rd, & 2nd graders. I can’t believe how fast they’ve grown.

Hope everyone had a great day & happy hooking.

Nail bitters

Good morning everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful day.

I seriously don’t think I am ever going to get any crocheting done while the NBA finals are going on. I attempted to last night while my CAVS won in overtime. It took me at least 30min to do a row lol. Maybe I should crochet during commercials or on the days when the playoffs are not on. I don’t know but I’m going to try and finish this project soon so I can watch my CAVS play.

This is my giant Granny-ghan.

Unfortunately my Granny-ghan wont be put on Etsy. I’m making this for one of my Residents at work. I work at an assisted living community. I love my Residents and my job. I am a very giving person & was taught this at a young age. When I found out we have a few residents that their families don’t visit or really care about their family member thats here I decided to make them crocheted blankets & such to really make them feel at home. And most importantly Loved. I know I’m just one person but I’m going to make my Residents happy and spoiled lol.

Well off to finish what I can on my Granny-ghan.

Have a wonderful day & happy hooking.

Spring & crochet

image

Hope everyone is having a great day. I am since I got all my house work done & I’m ready to crochet.

What is everyone working on this week?  Here is what I’m working on

image

I love the African flower motif & I’m going to making these into a Afghan.  I am hoping to have these done by August.

So far this had been a nice spring for us. I’ve been crocheting outside after work & when kids are in bed. I even got the deck cleaned. I hope summer will be this nice. I will get tons of projects done then.

Have a great day & Happy Hooking,

On the hooks.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are staying warm & safe. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted and I’m really sorry. I’ve been crocheting like a mad Momma lately along with keeping the snow off the deck for the kids & dogs to play.

So what’s on the hooks you maybe wondering.  Well……… it’s a little Valentine’s day treat. I am making some heart garland for my kids for their desks at school and one for my Nanna to decorate her room with. I found the pattern on redheart.com but changed it a smidge to make it into garland. Now to finish them & have them ready by Monday lol.

The redheart pattern I’m using.

The finished hearts. 2 sizes from the pattern the large is not stuffed along with the red one. I’ve made some stuffed & unstuff.

I will post more pics of the finished garland when I have them done. I can’t wait to share.

What’s on your hooks this week?

Happy Hooking all

Ok I’ve gone and done it. I went off the deep end lol. Well not the crazy deep end but the Frozen deep end. I’ve been watching Frozen for 3 days straight with my kids & naturally I come up with ideas during them. Well I have made some Frozen slippers. I have to say they are really cute and I am gonna have to make a few for kids too.o

I’m at it again

Ok so as many of you know I’m a yarnaholic and I can’t get enough of it. I always have a WHIP or yarn and a hook with me where every I go. Well yesterday was no exception. I had Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends at my home. In my down time I managed to whip up a slipper and currently working on the other one as we speak.

I am working on a few new colors & maybe a collection too. All of my crocheted gifts have been finished and wrapped up (now to start my shopping lol). I should have a free hour or two to brain storm and create some new items.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and happy hooking.

The Patriotic slippers collection. The top is the Camo slippers and on the bottom is the patriotic slippers. Both were created to show support for to all the Men and Women in the military.

Thr Scarlet and Grey slippers (can you tell we love our Ohio State football). Plus I just love these colors. I added a football button to make these cute slippers for ready for the Big 10 games.

This is the Midnight sky slippers. These slippers reminded me of those summer nights looking up at the stars. They have a bit of a sparkle to them.

I can make all these slippers custom ordered for you except the Midnight sky slippers (they are a limited edition). I can add a button or anything really to make them just for you.

Colors of fall cuff

The beautiful colors of fall in this cuff are even more beautiful in person.

Here are two pics of the newest items I’m currently making for my shop. Hopefully I can get it posted soon. It’s just been a very busy week. I’m thinking of making more in different colors too.

I have so much to post & little time to take pictures and such. Plus the weather doesn’t help either here in Ohio. We had snow & clouds all day. I miss summer and sunshine badly.

Happy hooking everyone
